If there was one thing that I could put down in this space...one thing I could tell you so that you could all get a view of my life...one thing that would be a glimpse of who I truly am...just one thing showcasing myself, then my life would be really lame

Ok, here's a short story I'm working on. It has little point, but quite a purpose. However, let me say one thing before you begin reading.
I don't want to hear any crap about you being in the story. If you wish to believe you are, super. I won't tell you otherwise. I also won't say you are either. So don't ask or complain about a character you believe to be yourself, okay?
Almost forgot...read Fugue Island pt1 if you haven't, or it won't make much sense...
With the formalities out of the way...enjoy part two.

He squinted as he opened his eyes. The sun seemed brighter now than it had been before he went to sleep. He felt like getting some food but had little energy. "I should at least get out of the sun." He sat up and looked around. In front of him, he saw the ocean and the harsh sun. He stood up and turned around and found himself at the edge of a lush forest. "What a cliché tropical island," he thought to himself. "At least I can get out of this burning sun..." He started to walk into the forest and search for some kind of food, but his lack of energy prevented him from going too far. He sat with his back to a large tree and rested his body, then his eyes.

In opening his eyes, he found himself in the same dream world he was before, simply outside of the building. Many people were all headed in the same direction, making a disorderly line. Ahead, he saw Brian and Mary, and, in glancing back, saw the unnamed girl. He paused for a second upon seeing her again, and wondered who she was...or at least he would have if he hadn't been bumped forward into moving with the line. As the dream fully kicked in, he moved forward, looking for Peter. He had to be in the line somewhere. He paused and, for some reason, looked to his left, at a road he hadn't noticed before. He looked just in time to see a truck speed by, with Peter as the driver. "Damn him," he thought. "He must've snuck out. He always had cheap connections." He paused, wondering how he knew that. He took his phone out of his pocket, hit a button, and called Nick. It rang, but the call failed. He raised his hands in frustration, just in time for another person to bump into him from behind, causing him to drop his phone. Upon hitting the ground, it shattered immediately. He cried out to the sky, which no one noticed, probably because he was in a dream.
Suddenly, he was getting off some vehicle - he didn't care to check what kind. He noticed that they had arrived at the destination. He looked around, but recognized no one. He walked up to the entrance, but was promptly turned away by a man in a suit. He caught a glimpse of the inside while walking away and saw Peter and Jessie dancing while Nick and the girl he had been flirting with sat at a table not too far away. He sighed and walked away, turning his head to look at the ground. He closed his eyes and groaned.

He opened his eyes and saw that the sun was beginning to set on the little island. He looked around some and saw that the forest continued behind him, and heard some noises to suggest that a variety of wildlife inhabited the forest. He tried to get up, but found his muscles unwilling to cooperate. He instead ended up sliding down further on the tree. He slipped into another dream...

This one was different, he could tell right away. For starters, he was outside in the middle of the day in what appeared to be a gym uniform. He was also running. It took him a second to realize that he was running on a track. It took him another second to realize that everything was in black and white. "This must be a flashback dream to some day in gym class," he thought to himself, "though I have no clue why this flashback could be so important. He just kept on running though, since stopping didn't seem like a wise idea.
He then noticed something that immediately caught his attention, or rather someone. The unnamed girl was just ahead of him, jogging and talking with another girl. He felt that, for some reason, something was wrong with this picture. He couldn't quite describe it, but he felt that he shouldn't be gaining on her this easily, that she should be going faster than she normally would. However, he continued running. As he was running past, he overheard the unnamed girl's conversation.
"I know its over, but I can't help but feel like I still love Mitchell..."
He almost stopped. In fact, had he been in control, he would've. Thankfully, the dream kept him going at the same speed, and neither the unnamed girl nor her friend even noticed that he had overheard. He then realized that he had no clue why the statement affected him so. He was sure that he wasn't Mitchell, which meant that...he paused, for he didn't know what it meant. Without knowing the connection Mitchell and the unnamed girl had, or the connection he had with the unnamed girl, he was unable to figure out why the statement had affected him so. Perhaps he was in love with her, or had been. Maybe he was the reason she and Mitchell were no longer together. He didn't know, and he sunk his head and closed his eyes in frustration.

Fugue Island pt1
I have a tad more written, but the next part will take a while, due to the fact that I don't exactly know what comes next...because I haven't quite finished the story in my head. I don't know how I want it to end...
