If there was one thing that I could put down in this space...one thing I could tell you so that you could all get a view of my life...one thing that would be a glimpse of who I truly am...just one thing showcasing myself, then my life would be really lame

Entry #23
So I still have writers block, and I still cannot think of how to start part three. However, in all honesty, I really do not care anymore. I am writing other stuff right now, and can work on the short story later. Speaking of which...
I have been having some interesting conversations with people...so I present to you...
TALES OF INTER-CLASS RELATIONS! (tentative title)
These are some of the strange conversation's I have had around school. Soon, I am thinking of expanding this to conversations with people online and on the phone, but for now, just school conversations...
First, let me introduce our first two characters.
Ben - A senior, a token nerd, and very smart, though he tends to highlight that others are smarter (but he is not modest...). He tends to cause debates just by being somewhere, a talent which he does not like.
Zakk - A sophomore who would describe himself as somewhat intelligent, but not really smart. Very freethinking and creative, he loves to get into arguments with Ben that have little bearing in the world...
(This was a real conversation I had with him, very little was altered for the purposes of this.)

ACT I - SCENE I
LOCATION - Gymnasium/locker room
[Ben is headed into the locker room, with Zakk following closely.]
Zakk: [speaking to Ben's back] Hey Ben, what was the name of that guy who that guy who was sent to prison, where he became a cannibal?
Ben: Hmm...I cannot seem to remember. I know who you are talking about...but I just can't think of the name. [They are in the locker room now, and Ben pauses, and turns around to face Zakk] But what would make you think I knew?
Zakk: I don't know...maybe because you're smart?
Ben: [he turns away from Zakk and continues walking to his locker] Just because I am smart doesn't mean I know everything. In fact, I know an immensely minimal amount of all the things that one can know. In the eyes of the universe, I know nothing.
Zakk: But you actually know something then, right?
Ben: [stopping for a moment] What do you mean?
Zakk: Well...I just think that nothing is never nothing, so nothing has to be something, and something is always everything!
Ben: [now at his locker] Nice thought, but not entirely true.
Zakk: No, it is true.
Ben: I beg to differ. Nothing is simply that - nothing. End of story...
Zakk: That's not true. There is always something - never nothing.
Ben: Fine, I shall give you an example to prove my point. [He raises his hands in the air to chin level, with both of his index fingers pointing up.] Now, what do we see here - we see my index fingers pointing up. There is space in between them, correct?
Zakk: Yes, but that space isn't nothing!
Ben: Did I say it was? Anyway, now watch, as I put my fingers together. [He turns his hands so that the fingers are tilted upwards still, but then moves his hands closer, until his fingers are connected.] Now what do we see?
Zakk: We see your fingers touching each other.
Ben: Wrong! It may appear that way, but, technically speaking, they cannot touch. The electrons on the tips of my right index finger are repelling those of my left. These forces are so strong that, while it looks and feels like they are touching, they are not. They are simply repelling. Thus, they are not touching, and there is space in between. Do you want to know what is in that space? There is nothing in that space. [he puts his hands down.]
Zakk: I say there is something there.
Ben: But, something is not there, for nothing is there. If there were something, once again, there would be electrons to it, repelling those of my fingers, and in between them...nothing!
Zakk: [sighing] Maybe you don't get what I mean. [he starts gesticulating] You see the space in between you and your locker? It may look like there is nothing there, but there is plenty there. [he stops]
Ben: I never said there was nothing there. There are millions of tiny little air molecules, among other things, there. But those molecules have electrons that repel other molecules on their outsides. They never touch, and in between them - nothing.
Zakk: I refuse to believe that there is nothing there. There has to be something, as nothing is never nothing...
Ben: Well, I suppose that is your opinion...and mine says that nothing is always just that - nothing.
END SCENE
---------
Well, there you have the first scene. I am working on scene two right now...it will actually be a fusion of a conversation with him, and a conversation with another character...
