Three Brothers-Info time...

Posted by bbbrrr Feb. 1, 2009 @ 9:07 PM EST

*EDIT* Gah!! I'll be happy when I'm done with this short story and can stop reffering to them as Little, Middle, or Big Brother. It's such a nuisance to type. Luckily, it won't be that way in the novel...

---

Well, I think I shall take some time to explain about the brothers, how I came up with them, and what may be in store...
If you don't know what I am talking about, please read my last two posts.
Oh, and remember-this is just a short story-and it's the prelude to the novel i want to write. The story just introduces them, and shows some about them and how they started on the paths that they will take in the novel...

Little Brother-Lawrence Brentwood.
The youngest of the three brothers, he is quite immature, as you might expect. However, he is pretty immature for his age, and that may get him into some trouble. He does, however, have a huge heart, and great potential. He tends to blend in and not be noticed, which will explain what happens to him...but he is someone who will always get to the roots of a matter, and someone who can get the truth out of you. He can help you realize why you are doing what you are doing, and can get you to help yourself.
He is based off of a younger version of myself and on my best friend-immature, but loving and insightful. All in all, he's a keeper, and a loyal friend who will always be there for his brothers...even after...well...you'll find out...

Middle Brother-Malcom Brentwood.
He sits in the middle of the age spectrum-but is by far the most mature. He always has his mind to the skys, but his feet firmly on the ground. He is someone who will always do his best to come through, to keep his promises, and to make sure that the right thing is done. He's smarter than most his age, and also quick on his mind and his feet. He has yet to find out what he truly wants though, but when he does, he'll know it.
He is largely based off of myself (you'll see why if I ever get to explaining the plot...)-calculating and smart, but also looking for what his place is in the universe. He looks to the skies for answers, but doesn't always get them. He is the protagonist, and the majority of the story focuses on or follows him.

Big Brother-Baccus Brentwood.
Now here's a guy who broke the mold. He's quite large for his age, and his massive height makes him look leaner than he is. He is quite strong, and wise on life lessons. However, he sees a lot of the problems that happened to his family as stemming from him, so he wanted to leave, and find where he belonged...he will change dramatically due to this. His heart isn't pure-it has some deapseated anger and...evil...inside of it, but he knows this, and wishes to distance himself from the people he loves, so not to hurt him.
Baccus is based on a friend of mine physically and my own older brother mentally. He is someone who you don't always know where lies, but will show his true colors when it's crunch time. He's a good man to have on your team, but who knows how long he will stay on your team. In the story, he ends up working for the antagonist, much to the chagrin of his brothers.

This isn't a main character list for the novel, but it tells more about what will happen in it. As for the short stroy, well, you can see these traits reflected in [some of] them, but not fully developed. Plus, the novel will take place 7 to 12 years after the short story.

If you haven't read the first two parts, please do. If you have, but haven't commented, then please do. If you have and you have, then you rock, and thank you for the support.
